Product Design
Product design is a challenge. Not only do you have to design aesthetically, but you also need to be aware of proportion and scale. Perhaps the most important skill for a product designer is an acute awareness of realism.
Just below you will see just a small portion of the work I have done over the past few years (click on thumbnail image to see it larger). For a more complete sampling of my work just ask!
Watch Design for Elgin
With a scribbled sketch from a non-artist and some basic knowledge of watches I was on my way. Using many layers and techniques to achieve the right amount of realism I was able to create an illustration so that this watch design could be sent off to a CAD design for 3D rendering.
Insert Trophy Design for Trophy Depot
With a required height as my only instruction I was able to create this insert holding trophy and complementary column design. The design was sent off to a CAD designer for 3D rendering. Then subsequently sent back to me for approval and revisions.
Medal Design for Trophy Depot
With the use of a diamond my only requirement I was tasked with designing the framework and the first of a line of exclusive medals for Trophy Depot. The design was sent off to a CAD designer for 3D rendering. Then subsequently sent back to me for approval and revisions.
Ribbon Design for Trophy Depot
This ribbon design is one of Trophy Depot's most popular medal ribbons.
Torch Shaped Insert Medal Design for Trophy Depot
With the use of a 2 inch Circular Sticker as my only guide I was tasked with designing the framework of an exclusive medal for Trophy Depot. The design was sent off to a CAD designer for 3D rendering. Then subsequently sent back to me for approval and revisions. Note: The illustration inside the medal is also my design!
Star Theme Insert Medal Design for Trophy Depot
With the use of a 2 inch Circular Sticker as my only guide I was tasked with designing the framework of an exclusive medal for Trophy Depot.
